(1.12) Lighting Sucks

Because I didn't have enough stalls Denali had decided to sleep in the pasture. For some reason she decided to drink the water from the water jump instead of from the trough.

Meanwhile I was dreaming about a nuclear spill and Acorn was the only one who could save all of humanity. I think his weirdness is starting to rub off on me.

It was Halloween today and Diamond was obviously thinking about eating some pumpkins.

Acorn had put his spy skills to good us as he stealthily approached one of my grape vines. Unfortunately for him the stabling area had a clear view of the garden and I was easily able to intercepted him and herd him back to the pasture.
Leaves and Plum and become very close to one another. And it was Leave's who Plum slept with a night not his mother.

I was kind of sad to break up there gallop but I had to get Leaves trained. As we left the house we all most ran over the paper girl because she just stood there right in our path!

Unlike most of our rides this one didn't have a purpose. We just went were every we wanted though I did stop him a few times to admire how beautiful fall was.

Back at home Diamond and Acorn were flirting much to my worry because I wasn't sure if I want Diamond to have another foal just yet.

A great shot of Plum and her dad. Unlike Leaves she inherited her father's dark coloring.

By the time Leaves and I made it home. I was starving and soaked to the bone. So after I untacked him I head inside for some food.

Speaking about food Denali was showing  how unsuited for motherhood she was by galloping away from Plum while she was neighing

Acorn comforted Plum but he couldn't do much more then that.

As I finished my food and came outside I saw Diamond and Leaves grooming each other. I felt bad since I knew that they didn't have a lot of time left together. Since the minute I was done with his training he was going to be sold.

Plum was still starving but she was incredibly thankful when she saw the bottle I had brought with me.

After Plum had her fill. I tacked up Diamond for I was going to enter her in an Advance Racing competition. Though she had obliviously explained to Plum how good pumpkins are because now she wanted one. Though for the life of me I couldn't figure out where she had gotten a pumpkin because didn't grow any.

As we hurried to the Horse Barn I had high hopes for today was the day I was going to get a gold ribbon!

The race did not go as plan and I was still mourning the lose by the time we had gotten home. See everything was going good we were in third place and gaining on the second place horses. When a giant crack of thunder boomed across the sky. Diamond spooked and by the time I had gotten her under control we had slipped all the way back to sixth! Sometimes I really hate lighting.

As I was putting the horses away for the night Plum was thinking about the grim reaper. Hopefully this was not a sign because it was Halloween maybe a kid had just dressed up as it and that's what made Plum think about him.

(1.11) Birthday's and Birth's

Acorn was the first one awake in the morning and instead of crying for food he actually decided to eat the food in his stall.

When he was done with his breakfast he let himself out not wanting to wait for me to finish my breakfast.

Like usually Diamond was the first one I let out. This time it was because she was freaking out about Leaves running off with out her.

Acorn was having a grand time playing with the horse ball.

Once I had put on my clothes I went out to the front to take care of the garden. It was looking quite nice since my tomato plant had finally grown back from Acorn eating it.

I had to admit I was a little worried about Denali and Diamond talking for it just knew they were plotting on eating my garden.

When they were done talking Denali went off to train.

While Diamond nuzzled Leaves. For it was time for his birthday!
Leaves aged up into a beautiful stallion that had all ready had two levels in Racing.

Of course Acorn was to busy flirting with Denali to realize that his son had aged up.

Even though Leaves had some great skill he was still not trained. So I swung up on him and we went for a ride.

Unlike his parents Leaves had never been off the ranch so he was quite curious about the town.

By the time we started back home it was all ready raining.

Back the ranch Denali had her first foal. A filly who I named Plum!

She had quite the interesting markings! She mostly had her mothers body but had her fathers legs and chest. Though I'm not sure where she got the grey on her face.

Mother and daughter instantly starting getting to know each other.

We were almost to the ranch when a loud strike of thunder spooked Leaves and he reared.

I landed hard on my butt but I wasn't mad at him as I picked myself up and calmed him down.

By the time Leaves and I finally got home it was time to take Diamond to her first ever race! All her hard work had payed off since she easily won first in the Beginning racing class. She was a little put out afterwards because there hadn't been any food at the finish line.

(1.10) Chore Day

The next morning I stuck to the regular routine of letting Diamond out first. It was still too early for I was yawning the entire time.

Acorn was the next one to be let out though he seemed to be more in favor of eating his hay then listening to me.

Diamond was all ready racing around the race track.

Denali, Acorn and Leaves where engaging in a family gallop.

Heading back into the house I decided that it was going to be a chore day. For their was a ton of stuff that needed to be done. First one the list was cleanning the shower.

Then it was on to fixing the toilet a third time.

I then headed outside to scatter some hay. Acorn was obviously excited for I had found out that Denali was excepting so Acorn was proud that he was soon going to have two children.

Diamond was to smart to fall for the silly ghost in the garden trick.

Another lighting strike hit so this time Acorn freaked out thinking that the loch ness monster was going to eat him.

I had to calm Acorn down and reassure him that the loch ness monster could only exist in water so he'll be fine.

I headed back inside to eat some lunch. As I ate my lunch I looked out the window admiring the trees for Appaloosa Plains was defiantly beautiful in the fall.

As I was eating the horses where doing another family race. Diamond one this one but Denali wasn't that happy about that and Leaves was protesting because he thought his father got in his way.

After cleaning the dishes I cleaned the sink for it was starting to get quite gross. Going back outside I scattered some more hay because with so many horses it was a good idea to have a lot of hay out.

The last order of businesses till it was time to go to the show was to start raking up some of the leaves.

Acorn really liked having so much hay out.

I got so into raking that time slipped away from me and before I knew it we were almost going to be late to the show!

I tacked up Acorn and we rushed over to the Equestrian Center. We were going to compete in our second Advance Racing class. Acorn wasn't that happy that he didn't get to finish his food.

In the end we got forth again. I must admit I was pretty disappointed as we headed home. Once we got back I untacked Acorn and he instantly went over to the hay. Hopefully tomorrow was going to be a better day.
