(1.6) Diamond Is Finally Trained

When I awoke the next morning I was surprised to find out that I wasn't the only one awake.Walking onto the balcony I was surprised to see Diamond galloping around the racing course.

Today I decided was going to be chore day for their was a ton of stuff to get done. I had to brush both Diamond and Acorn. Acorn really needed it for you could just smell the stench if you got within a few feet of him.

After the horses were taken care of it was time to bundle another bale of hay and take care of the garden.

And then the last chore on the agenda was to put back up the jumps that Acorn had knocked over three days ago.

After all the chores where done I tacked up Diamond. I was hoping that today would be the day she would lose her untrained trait.

As Diamond and I set out on our ride I was pleased to see that Acorn was sad like he was yesterday. In fact he seemed to be having a ton of fun playing with his horse ball.

Are ride only last two hours because Diamond finally lost her untrained trait. When we got home I gave her an apple seed for a job well ton.

Acorn meanwhile was busy chew up another newspaper.

I decided I needed a break from my horses so I headed off for the community swimming pool.

Back at home Diamond was having a great time with the horse ball, for she had figured out that it was able to hold some of her weight.

Since Acorn was finish destroying the newspaper he went over to talk to Diamond. One thing lead to another and soon the horses where galloping off to the stables.

When I returned home from the pool I decided it was a good idea to work on Acorn's jumping abilities. Though I couldn't be bothered to change into my regular clothes so I just decided to jump him in my swimming trunks.  Acorn didn't protest my weird clothing but to my great surprise he refused to go over to wooden fence.

As if annoyed with himself Acorn took off racing for the stone fence with the flaming torches on either side. To my amazement he cleanly cleared the jump. Even more surprising was the fact that I didn't fall off because I didn't have any shoes I just had flippers. The world returned to normal as Acorn refused the water jump.

Diamond was training just as hard on the race course.

It was soon time for Acorn and I to head out for the nightly show. I decided that today I was going to enter Acorn in an Advance Racing class for he needed a challenge. Also just for the heck of it I stayed in my swimming gear for I was curious how people would react to it.

We placed 4th which I thought was amazing considering that A) We have never enter an Advance show before. and B) I have no idea how I manged to stay on wearing flippers. When we reach home my clumsy trait showed itself again as I had trouble getting off Acorn.

Before I put Acorn to bed I gave him an apple for he had done amazing today.

(1.5) A Visit to The Beach

The next morning I was dismayed to discover it was still raining. Come on its suppose to be summer!

First order of business was to fix the toilet I had broken the night before for you never no when you might have to go.

Next I tended to the garden and I was quite pleased to see that the Apple Tree was ready to harvest.

Diamond was the first one to taste the fruits of my labor and she seemed to really enjoy it.

I saddled up Diamond and we headed out to go riding.

Acorn was not enjoying being left behind but I was desperately trying to finish Diamond.

Our destination this time was the beach.

Even though it was still raining I wasn't going to let that deter me from enjoying the beach.

At first I was a little hesitant about swimming in the ocean but I soon got over it and start to have fun.

All to soon it was time to head back. I felt like quite a daredevil as I rode home because I was riding an unbroke horse with out a saddle.

When we got back home Acorn was quite happy to see me.

When I was inside getting ready for the show their was a thunder strike that scared Acorn half to death. I guess he was thinking it would start a fire.

I ran outside and manged to calm Acorn down before he hurt himself.

I came so close to having a perfect day mounting and dismount that was until we got home from the show.  It looks quite painful doesn't it?

Acorn once again won and my trophy table was slowly expanding. As I went to bed that night I contemplated entering Acorn in the Intermediate Racing Class.

(1.4) A Visit To The Summer Festival

The next day I awoke just as the sun start to rise.

My goal for the day was to get on Diamond for the first time.

At first she was pretty hesitant to me.

But after a lot of patience I was finally able to mount her backwards of course.

As we started our ride I realized the situation I was in. I was ride a unbroke horse that had taken me two hours just to get the saddle on her.

It turned out my fears where unfounded for Diamond loved racing down the street.

Meanwhile Acorn was galloping around the pasture as fast as he could for he was determined to get his racing skill up to level four.

Of course with my luck it soon started to rain.

After about a two hour ride I decided that Diamond needed a break so we headed to the Summer Festival.

I think my clumsy trait is coming into effect here because for the life of me I can't figure out why I'm never able to mount or dismount.

Diamond was quite content tied to the hitch post. I made a beeline for the nearest food stall and ordered myself a plate full of chilly fries.

Back at home Acorn was celebrating his advancement in Racing.

I don't know what possessed me but for some reason I decided it would be a good idea to try rollerblading.

After an half-an hour of rollerblading I decided not to push my luck any more. So Diamond and I headed home.

At home Diamond seemed to have enough of me on her back as she duck close to a few branches of the tree.

Acorn and Diamond where quite happy to see each other again.

Acorn so lost interest in Diamond and he fell back on his favorite thing ever. Eating! I love my boy but sometimes I wonder if he dreams of being a pig considering how much he eats. He even got Diamond to start digging around the yard for treats.

While to horses were socializing I headed inside to cool off. Of course I manged to break the toilet but I at no time to fix it as it was time for Acorn and I to head to the show.

Diamond seemed quite put out that I wasn't taking her to the show. Though she soon forgot all about it as she chased a horse ball around the pasture.

At the show Acorn manged to place first! It might just be a beginning racing show but this is my first ever trophy.
